Terms of Service
Last updated October 3, 2026. Draft, pending legal review.
These Terms are an agreement between you and Cao-Tech LLC (“we”, “us”) for your use of Ahena: the website at ahena.io, the dashboard at app.ahena.io, the API, the ahena command-line tool and its MCP server (together, the “Service”).
If you use the Service for an organization, you accept these Terms for that organization and confirm that you're authorized to do so. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
1. What Ahena does
Ahena is a control plane for third-party services your applications use. It:
- connects to provider accounts that you own;
- shows how they're configured;
- checks them;
- proposes changes, and makes the ones you authorize;
- generates integration code for your applications.
Ahena isn't in your application's runtime path: your application calls your providers directly.
2. Your provider accounts stay yours
- You connect your own accounts with providers such as Supabase, Cloudflare, Resend, Stripe, Firebase, OpenAI and Anthropic. Those accounts, and the resources in them (projects, buckets, domains, DNS records, webhooks, products, apps and data), belong to you, not to us.
- Your use of each provider is governed by your agreement with that provider.
- Provider charges are your responsibility. Ahena doesn't resell or mark up provider usage. You pay providers directly, including for any resource created through Ahena.
- Removing a connection from Ahena doesn't delete anything at the provider or revoke the credentials you created there. You remain responsible for those.
3. What Ahena may do in your accounts
- Ahena reads and changes your provider resources only to carry out actions that you, or a person or tool you've authorized in your organization, request or approve. Those tools include the CLI and AI agents using Ahena's MCP server.
- Before making changes, Ahena shows a plan. Changes that may be billed by a provider, that can't be undone, or that affect production may need explicit approval, and may be limited to particular roles. AI agents can't approve those changes for you.
- After a change, Ahena checks the provider to confirm it. It reports changes it couldn't confirm, and changes whose outcome is unknown, so you can review them.
- You're responsible for the permissions you grant. Ahena can only do what the credentials you provide allow. Use the narrowest credentials that work, and review what Ahena reports about them.
- You're responsible for reviewing plans before you approve them, and for the people and tools you give access to your organization.
4. Third-party providers
Provider availability, APIs, pricing and behavior are outside our control. Providers may change or discontinue features, limit requests, or have outages. We don't guarantee any provider's uptime, or that a provider will accept or keep a configuration.
5. Generated code
Code Ahena generates for your applications is yours to use, modify and keep, including if you stop using Ahena. Generated code doesn't depend on Ahena at runtime. You're responsible for reviewing, testing and deploying it.
6. Your account
Keep your sign-in methods and tokens secure. You're responsible for activity under your account and tokens. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect accounts, or act on resources, that you aren't authorized to manage;
- use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harm others;
- try to access other users' data, or bypass authentication, approvals, rate limits or other security controls;
- interfere with, overload or reverse-engineer the Service, except as the law allows;
- use the Service to send spam or malware, or to violate a provider's terms;
- resell the Service without our written permission.
8. Fees
The Service is currently offered without charge. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you the prices and terms before any charge applies. Paid features won't be enabled for you without your agreement.
9. Intellectual property
We own the Service, including its software, design and documentation, apart from your content. Your content stays yours: your configuration, project information and generated code. You give us permission to process it only to provide and secure the Service.
10. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time, and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if your use puts the Service, other users or providers at risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we'll give notice first. Sections 2, 4, 5 and 9 to 15 survive termination.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its checks will find every problem in your configuration.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither we nor our suppliers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. This includes provider charges, and downtime or misconfiguration of your provider accounts. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100.
14. Indemnity
You'll defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content, your provider accounts, or your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the law.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in New Hampshire have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you a right to bring a claim elsewhere.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms. We'll change the date above, and give notice of material changes in the dashboard or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
