How billing works
What counts as an action?
One operation Ahena performs at a provider for you: connecting or re-verifying a credential, a Doctor check of one provider, an inspection, a plan, an apply (including the read-back that verifies it) or a disconnect. Browsing the dashboard, reading your stack or the activity log is never an action.
What happens if we go over our actions?
Nothing stops. Ahena warns at 80% and again when you pass the plan's allowance, but it never blocks a deploy, a fix or a Doctor run halfway. If you keep going over, move up a plan.
And projects or team members?
Those are firm limits: creating a project or adding a member beyond the plan asks you to upgrade first. Existing projects and people are never removed.
Who pays: me or my organization?
The organization. Each organization has its own plan, so an agency can run a Business organization for clients and keep a Free one for experiments. Each person can own one Free organization.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Any time, from the organization's Billing page. Upgrades and switches are prorated by Stripe. If you cancel, the plan stays until the end of the paid period, then the organization moves to Free. Nothing is deleted.
Does Ahena add charges at my providers?
Ahena's price doesn't include what your providers charge you (Supabase, Cloudflare, Stripe and so on). Any change Ahena proposes that could cost money at a provider is marked billable and needs its own approval.
How do you take payment?
Through Stripe Checkout. Ahena never sees or stores your card number.
